Docomo — Sony Ericcson — XPERIA — Android

Yesterday, I dropped by the Softbank store to add an iPhone to my Softbank account, but was denied. So, today, I dropped by the DOCOMO store to look at the single Android (Google) phone they carry.

I wasn’t really intereseted in that phone, 1 because it was a tad bit small and two, it has a somewhat older version of Android on it.

But, the guy in the store gave me a pamphlet of the Android based XPERIA phone from Sony Ericcson and it looks pretty sweet. He gave me a pamphlet because Docomo doesn’t actually carry the phone yet.

So, I can expect to get it around April sometime, which will be right around the time my current contract ends with Softbank.

Yipee

Rejected by Softbank

Today I went to apply for a new contract with Softbank, a cell phone company.

I picked out a phone, asked all my questions, got my hopes up and in the end, I was told by the person working in the store that I was not approved to get the account to use the iPhone.

I was a little bit shocked. But, I have lived in Japan for quite some time now, so I wasn’t *that* shocked.

But, what is a little disturbing about living in Japan is that companies are not (apparently) required by law to inform you as to the reason why you were declined or rejected.

So, tonight I have been looking at a Google phone (android) from Docomo here in Japan. I’ll go tomorrow and see if I can get that phone and service.

The thing that really bothers me is that I’m already a customer of Softbank which offers the iPhone and they have declined me. I have made all of my payments, etc.

I don’t understand.

Anyway, I like Google better. So, let’s try Docomo!!

Journal Entry

I’m sitting at home, drinking some shouchuu and playing FX.

Did I tell you yet that I love forex. Hahahahah. Yes I did, didn’t I.

Anyway I love it. It’s like a video game for grown ups.

If you haven’t tried it, you should. It doesn’t take a lot to get started and you can make money (or lose money) every minute. But, it’s fun.

I’m watching my charts as I type. “c’mon down, c’mon down !!!”

Anyway, have a good day.

Oh…..***** it just climbed up…I better go!

Spending Some Time with my Daughter

On my way home last night from Akita, I took a detour and went to pick up my daughter. She’s here with me now and she’s getting antsy because she wants to do something and I’m writing this blog, so I’m going to cut it short. Talk to you later.

Went to Akita

I just got back from Akita last week to help one of our schools there. That school has a great bunch of students. Smart and lively, too. I can’t wait to go back and visit them again.

Colts Win 2010 AFC Championships

That’s my Colts. I can’t wait to see who wins between the Saints and Vikings. I’m personally going for the Vikings.

Cowboys Got Owned

I just woke up on the other side of the world to see the results of the Vikings Cowboys playoff match. Wow Favre still has it doesn’t he. 40 years old. Still gives me hope that I can accomplish things at my age.

So, the Vikings and Saints will be in the NFC championship together. And later either the Jets or Chargers will be going to the AFC championship game with the Colts.

Go Colts !!

I Love the Colts

I originally became a colts fan the year Peyton Manning joined the NFL.

I had no clue if Manning would be a good player in the NFL or not, but my last name is somewhat rare, so I felt an obligation to cheer for him before he even started.

I remember his father’s name floating around the NFL when I was a youngster. But, he never created the name for himself that Peyton Manning or even Eli Manning has.

….and NOW…..

Peyton is back in the playoffs about to land in the Conference championship game next week.

On top of that….my home town Dallas Cowboys are going to the Conference championships also.

This means the two of them could end up in the Superbowl together.

But the saints looked really sharp today….especially on defense.

Let’s wait and see what happens.

Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to Me !!

Yayyyy! It’s my birthday and I’m sitting at home all alone. How sad, huh?

I know.

Anyway, if anyone wants to wish me a happy birthday, please feel free!

Day Before My Birthday

I’m sitting here in my house with the heater blasting next to me while I wait for my deposit to hit my forex trading account.

If I haven’t told you yet, … I LOVE trading forex. Even if I lose. Losing happens sometimes and you’ll never win if you can’t learn to deal with losses.

Talk to you later.
