Rejected by Softbank

Today I went to apply for a new contract with Softbank, a cell phone company.

I picked out a phone, asked all my questions, got my hopes up and in the end, I was told by the person working in the store that I was not approved to get the account to use the iPhone.

I was a little bit shocked. But, I have lived in Japan for quite some time now, so I wasn’t *that* shocked.

But, what is a little disturbing about living in Japan is that companies are not (apparently) required by law to inform you as to the reason why you were declined or rejected.

So, tonight I have been looking at a Google phone (android) from Docomo here in Japan. I’ll go tomorrow and see if I can get that phone and service.

The thing that really bothers me is that I’m already a customer of Softbank which offers the iPhone and they have declined me. I have made all of my payments, etc.

I don’t understand.

Anyway, I like Google better. So, let’s try Docomo!!
