Food for the body. Food for the mind. Food for the heart. For the Soul. Bottle Fed.
Early to rise. Soon to sleep. It’s nappy time. Bottle Fed.
Nobody knows but everybody seems to know. Who knows? Bottle Fed.
Foggy vision, but can clearly see. I’m headed here, but I’m going there. Bottle Fed.
Left behind. Trying to catch up. Just a second. Bottle Fed.
In the front, looking behind, nothing there, loneliness… and Bottle Fed.
Eventually, the bottle empties.
Bottle Fed.

I woke up to an earthquake this morning of all things. I could hear my dishes rattling and feel my house shaking. This was the strongest one since living in this house which is going on a year and a half. I’ve experienced several since living here, but this one was a little bit more noteworthy.

However, an interesting note for your non-Japanese folk out there. Japanese girls here are more scared of a little thunder and lightning than they are an earthquake. I’ve experienced earthquakes while at work and all the girls are just sipping their tea or sending emails to their friends, but let it thunder a little and death might as well be on their doorstep.

Even though I live here, I’m really not sure of the significance of the parade. If you have any information please leave a comment.

Ok everyone! Hey!

I was on my lunch break so made it a point to go outside where this festival was happening and took some video of beautiful women dancing to great music. Some women were not so beautiful, but they were still beautiful. Ya know what I mean?

Anyway check out the action for yourself.

This video was embedded using the YouTuber plugin by Roy Tanck.
As I was reviewing this video, I remembered that the girl at the very end was quite beautiful. Why? Because one she had physical beauty, but also she seemed dedicated to not being distracted by the crowd. The movement that these women were making for miles was unstopped……no breaks…..comprende?

But, she had a sense of obvious pride in pushing through until the very end.

I was coming back from lunch and decided to take a video of this Japanese parade (festival). It’s quite lively and noisy. No, however, this is not typical of the daily life in Japan. People don’t gather early in the morning to practice their martial arts in the public streets. But, their festivals and ways of celebrating yearly events are very traditional. Although, like other societies of the world, performances do change slightly over time to accommodate current culture I’m sure.

Here’s a little boy dressed up for the occasion while holding his clickety-clackers. He is very cute and ready to take on the town.

No pictures this time because ~ of course my cell phone battery died ~ but a friend, my daughter and the three of us went to the Onsen and afterwards we went to eat sushi. This was sort of a special occasion for my daughter since it was her birthday on the 24th. The next day the same friend and I went to eat Udon for lunch at the same place you probably saw photos of in a recent posting. … and we sat at the same table in the picture. But, we did have something to eat that wasn’t quite as big, but still just as good.
